Know who you’re buying from.

We want every listing to feel more transparent—not simply more polished. SCI trust signals are designed to help you check the seller, understand the market, and use a protected checkout before you buy.

HOW SCI BUILDS TRUST

Evidence first. Clear signals. No fake certainty.

A green badge should never be the only reason you trust a listing. We are building SCI so important purchase decisions can be checked from several angles.

Seller verification

SCI only labels a seller as verified when the marketplace verification state is satisfied. Verification is a marketplace trust signal—not a promise that every transaction is risk-free.

Comparable sales

Pricing guidance should be based on recent, relevant sales and clearly separated from a seller's asking price. When a reliable comparable is unavailable, SCI should say so instead of inventing a value.

🔒

Protected checkout

Buyers should complete purchases through SCI checkout so the order can be associated with the listing and the marketplace can provide support when something goes wrong.

💬

Real support

Trust is also about what happens after checkout. SCI provides a support path for buyers and sellers instead of leaving users to resolve marketplace problems alone.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Five things to check on a listing.

  1. SellerOpen the seller storefront and review the seller identity and inventory.
  2. Card detailsConfirm year, set, card number, parallel/variant, autograph or patch details, and grade.
  3. MarketCompare the asking price with recent comparable sales—not an unrelated card or an old price.
  4. ConditionReview the listing photos and grading information before checkout.
  5. CheckoutUse SCI checkout and keep your order confirmation and support information.

Trust signals are not guarantees.

SCI should never present a seller badge, comp estimate, or price recommendation as a guarantee of authenticity, future value, or transaction outcome. If evidence is incomplete, the interface should make that limitation visible.
